After creating Aquatica, I have sought to retrace my steps with new knowledge and insight into my characters: who they are, where they come from, what's really happening behind the scenes. Going backwards instead of forwards, my boys and I have unravelled part of the mystery of what kind of funeral a Meridian should have and just what happened to Grammy in the first place. Leading to many rewrites, late nights, thrilling additions, and juicy tidbits.
Tonight as I sat brainstorming with the boys once again, I smiled. You know the smile. A deep knowing smile. Satisfaction that this is a story worth telling and once it is perfected, it will have real staying power.
